Alexandre Pato

Alexandre Pato, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a Striker for AC Milan and the Brazilian national team. Nicknamed “Pato” is in honour of his place of birth, but has led to commentators calling him “The Duck”, which is the literal translation of “Pato” from Portuguese.

Pato Named in Brazil Squad to Face USA

An excited Milan striker Alexandre Pato is set to lead the Brazil strike force against North American Giants USA in an international friendly.

The Brazil side crashed out of the World Cup at a Early Stage (for them) in which The Duck didn’t feature in the squad.

“I was never frustrated at not going to the World Cup. Dunga’s decision should be respected. But now I have a new opportunity and I want to work hard to become part of a winning group.”

“I am delighted to be back again. I will try to play a great game and work hard to stay in this Brazilian team.”

“I don’t know the majority of the players who star in Brazil, but now I will have the chance.”

League Title Is My Aim

Alexandre Pato has told the media that the aim for this season is to win the Seria A, despite the fact that a host of top european clubs were interested in the talented brazilian.

Alex said:

“I am very happy to stay at Milan and especially happy that Ronaldinho is also here,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “In my view, he never seriously thought about leaving.”

“Last season, Milan were inferior to Inter and we lost both derby games, but it’s a different story now and we don’t feel inferior to anyone. Not even Inter. We have the same chances of winning the Scudetto.”

Before then discussing his previous and present injury concerns:

“I’m better now, as the worries have passed,” he said. “Despite the small sprain, I never stopped training and working to fully recover. When I felt pain, I was afraid that I’d damaged the ankle again, but it was nothing serious.”

Twisted Ankle Caused In Training

Alexandre Pato looks set to be out of the AC Milan squad for a week after picking up an ankle injury in training.

The injury could force The Duck out of the friendly against Panathinaikos and also Brazils international friendly against USA.

Alexandre Pato, returned back to Italy after an adventurous time in Brazil.

Ex Partner Wants Earnings

Alexandre Pato’s ex wife, Brazilian actress Stephany Brito, has claimed that she should receive 20% of his earnings, which are a reported $3.5m per year or $130,000 per month.

The couple split in May 2010, after marrying in July 2009, in which Pato wanted the tribunal to be in Brazil, whilst Stephany wants it in Italy.

With Ronaldinho looking set to return to join Flamengo and the sale of Klass-Jan Huntelaar, this could lead the way for Alexandre Pato to show his worth.
